Tested for
everyday protection

PADHAT soft head orthoses are designed to provide additional head protection in everyday life. To ensure they provide effective protection, their impact absorption performance has been independently tested.

Impact absorption tests

Soft head orthoses underwent impact absorption testing in accordance with ASTM F1447, with an impact speed of 1.73 m/s.

This impact speed was chosen to simulate everyday activities, reflecting the real-life situations faced by people with disabilities and medical conditions for whom our soft head orthoses are intended.

The results demonstrated effective impact absorption, with an average HIC of 12 and SI of approximately 105. Both indicators confirm strong impact-absorbing performance, supporting the intended use of PADHAT Medical for everyday head protection.

UV Radiation & Moisture Testing

PADHAT soft head orthoses were tested for UV and moisture resistance using European protective helmet testing methods.

After this exposure, the impact absorption was tested once again. The results confirmed that the protective performance remained stable, and even showed a small improvement.

These results indicate that PADHAT can maintain its protective properties during long-term use.

ICS Laboratories is included in the European Commission's official list of notified and approved laboratories.

Independently tested

The impact absorption performance of PADHAT soft head orthoses was evaluated at ICS Laboratories (USA) using internationally recognized testing procedures for protective headgear.
